Ukraine 3000 Foundation Representatives Visit Chinese Children’s Institutions

October 9-13, members of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation were in People’s Republic of China with a working visit. The members of the delegation, Head of the Board of Directors of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation Oleksandr Maksymchuk, Head of the Development Programs Andriy Kotsiuba, and Director General of the Artek International Children’s Center Borys Novozhylov, came to China on an invitation from the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation.
As part of the visit’s schedule, the Ukrainian delegation visited a series of Chinese children’s institutions.
October 10, Ukraine 3000 Foundation members visited a children’s center in Beijing, created with the support of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation. This institution for preschoolers is one of China’s most modern. The Ukrainian guests toured its premises, talked to the top management, teachers, and children. The Center’s pupils gave the Ukraine 3000 Foundation representatives paper kites they made by themselves as keepsakes.
October 11, the Ukrainian delegation visited the Children’s Art Palace in Wuxi (Jiangsu province in East China). The Palace workers presented to the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation members youth exchange programs in which the Palace’s wards took place. A trip to the Artek International Children’s Center for children from this province was scheduled for 2008, but it had to be canceled because of the tragic events connected with the earthquake. The parties agreed to organize such trip next year. On the same day, the Ukrainian delegation visited the Women’s Federation of the PRC children’s center.
October 12, thee Ukraine 3000 Foundation members visited the Children’s Art Palace in Shanghai, created with personal participation of Soong Ching Ling. Numerous events for the young people, held by the Palace, were presented to the guests from Ukraine. The latter, in their turn, suggested a number of ideas regarding Ukrainian-Chinese youth programs to be organized at the Artek International Children’s Center.
