Kateryna Yushchenko Meets with Actress Olha Kurylenko

October 9, 2008, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation Kateryna Yushchenko met with actress Olha Kurylenko.
Ukrainian actress and model Olha Kurylenko has played one of the main parts in the 22nd James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace. October 8, the actress came to Kyiv from Paris, where she has been living for the last 14 years, for a Quantum of Solace presentation. On the same day, Ukrainian journalists were given a chance to be the first in the world to see the new Bond film excerpts. By Ms. Kurylenko request, the film will be officially released in Kyiv November 6, 2008.
The actress came to her meeting with Mrs. Yushchenko with her mother Maryna Aliabusheva.
Mrs. Yushchenko thanked Ms. Kurylenko for her initiative to set the new James Bond film’s premiere in Ukraine. She also described the Ukraine 3000 Foundation’s initiatives related to cinema: the For Developing National Cinema award at the Molodist Film Festival and Ukrainian Film Foundation.
The meeting took place at the Yushchenko family country house in the village of Novi Bezradychi. Among other guests were Minister for Culture and Tourism Vasyl Vovkun, Director General of the Molodist Film Festival and Director of the Ukrainian Film Foundation Andriy Khalpakhchi, Head of the Board of Directors of the Nemiroff Holding Oleksandr Hlus, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Marketing and Distribution, Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group Paul Smith, Executive Vice President of International Publicity for Sony Pictures Releasing International Susan van der Werff, former PR Dept. Head of United International Pictures Anna Benet, Vice President of Distribution for Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa with Sony Pictures Releasing Mark Braddel, ârepresentatives of leading Hollywood film studios and Ukraine 3000 Foundation.
Olha Kurylenko was born November 14, 1979, in Berdiansk. At 17 she signed a contract with the Paris-based Madison modeling agency. There are over 15 cover shots in Elle, Glamour, Madam Figaro, Iza and other leading fashion magazines on her record, as well as a number of appearances in French and American films. The most significant were the parts in Paris My Love and Hitman.
Quantum of Solace continues the series of films on the adventures of James Bond, Agent 007. The film also features Daniel Craig, Mathieu Amalric, Judi Dench, and Gemma Arterton, and is directed by Marc Forster.
