
Kateryna Yushchenko Takes Part in the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting

September 24, 2008, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation Kateryna Yushchenko took part in the Clinton Global Initiative members’ annual meeting. This was the fourth such meeting, attracting many renowned guests, among who were leaders of many countries, representatives of global organizations and foundations.
Mrs. Yushchenko attended the first plenary session of the annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative, opened by 42nd President of the United States Bill Clinton.
Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) was founded in 2005, when the 42nd President of the United States called on global leaders to work out innovative solutions to the challenges of our days. Among the CGI participants are heads of many countries and governments, CEOs of the biggest companies, media representatives, heads of charitable funds and organizations, religious figures, NGO leaders. The participants of this program discuss education, energy, climate changes, health care, and fight against poverty.
Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko is staying in the United States for a working visit. Earlier she has visited the March of Dimes NGO and attended a meeting with Ukrainian community members together with the President of Ukraine.
