June 12, 2008, representatives of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation, headed by Head of the Supervisory Board of the Foundation Kateryna Yushchenko, visited the Wisplinghoff medical laboratory in Cologne.

Supervised by the lab owner Kurt-Peter Wisplinghoff, the Ukrainian guests took a tour of the institution, in part, familiarizing themselves with the work of the diagnostics center. The Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation and Wisplinghoff Lab staff members discussed possible cooperation within the context of the All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mothers’ and Children’s Health, a.k.a. the Children’s Hospital of the Future.

At the Wisplinghoff Lab, Mrs. Kateryna held a brief meeting with Köln Mayor Fritz Schramma. Mrs. Kateryna told the Mayor about the major goal of the Ukrainian delegation’s visit to Nordrhein-Westfalen, presenting in Düsseldorf the Executed by Hunger: the Unknown Genocide of the Ukrainians exhibition. The parties also discussed the ways for possible cooperation.

Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko and Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation representatives are staying in Germany for a two-days working visit, in course of which they are to visit Düsseldorf and Cologne.  Earlier they met with representatives of German business circles at the reception by Land Counselor on Economy and Social Policy of the State of Nordrhein-Westfalen, Rhineland region, Werner Stump. Also, Mrs. Kateryna met in Düsseldorf with President of the Landtag Nordrhein-Westfalen Regina van Dinther.

June 12, 2008, Kateryna Yushchenko and the Foundation members took part in the unveiling ceremony of the Executed by Hunger: the Unknown Genocide of the Ukrainians exhibition in Dusseldorf, at the premises of the Nordrhein-Westfalen Landtag.
