Junior Eurovision 2009 to Be Held in Ukraine

The Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation is glad to inform that the negotiations between the organizers of the Junior Eurovision Ukrainian Finals (Ukraine 3000 Foundation, NTRCU, and Artek ICC) ended in success.
By the European Broadcasting Union decision, the Junior Eurovision 2009 finals will be held in Ukraine.
Recall that the Ukraine 3000 Foundation was a co-organizer of the Junior Eurovision 2007 Ukrainian Finals. In particular, due it organized a series of events for the participants of the national selection finals and sponsored the trip to the European finals in Rotterdam for Ukrainian winner, Ilona Halytska from Mykolayiv.
December 8, 2007, representatives of the organizers of the Junior Eurovision 2007 Ukrainian Finals had a meeting with the European Broadcasting Union top management in Rotterdam. The major theme for discussion was the possibility of holding the Junior Eurovision 2009 in Ukraine. The EBU leaders showed their interest in the Ukrainian proposal. Mr. De Coninck-De Boek said that the decision about the site for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009 would be made at an administrative group meeting in spring 2008.
