Meeting between Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation and Intel Corporation Members

April 16, 2008, a meeting was held between the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation and Intel Corporation representatives. Among the participants of the event, hosted by the Ukraine 3000 Foundation, were Head of the Supervisory Board of the Foundation Kateryna Yushchenko, Head of the Board of Directors of the Foundation Oleksandr Maksymchuk, Head of the Educational Programs Dept. Oleksandr Oliynyk, Worldwide Director Of Corporate Public Affairs at Intel Shelly Esque, Intel’s Education Manager for Europe, EMEA, and CIS Countries Thomas Osburg, and Country Education Manager with Intel Ukraine Tatyana Nanaieva.

The participants of the meeting discussed possible areas of cooperation between the Ukraine 3000 Foundation and Intel in the educational sphere. The parties exchanged information on their programs and projects related to this area. Also, the Intel representatives described their corporation’s international educational initiatives in Ukraine.

Besides, the discussion broached the subject of cooperation between NGOs and business and joint effort aimed at preparing the young people for entering an informational society and supporting the talented youth.

The Ukraine 3000 Foundation and Intel agreed to continue their cooperation, in part, within the framework of the Artek Dialog Educational Forum scheduled for September 2008.

In the end of the meeting, Ms. Esque awarded Mrs. Yushchenko with Intel’s Honorary Diploma, recognizing the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation’s considerable contribution into the development of the informational society and education in Ukraine.

The Intel Corporation and Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation already have an experience of successful cooperation in implementing educational programs. In part, in 2007 Intel representatives took part in the Human Rebirth, Revival, and Development Second International Humanitarian Forum. Also, the corporation sponsored the Innovative Intellect of Ukraine All-Ukrainian Youth Competition.
