The 24 rooms display over 4,000 items. Several rooms feature evidence of the global meaning of Shevchenko’s works, and translations of his poetry to many foreign languages.
Mrs. Laura Bush is accompanying her husband, President George Bush of the United States, on his state visit to Ukraine. Earlier she had a meeting with Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko.
