Kateryna Yushchenko Attends the 16th Deriuhina-Naftohaz Cup Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament

March 23, 2008, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation Kateryna Yushchenko attended the 16th Deriuhina-Naftohaz Cup Rhythmic Gymnastics International Tournament. Minister for Family, Youth, and Sports Yuri Pavlenko also took part in the event. The Deriuhina Cup was held March 21-23 at the Kyiv Palace of Sports with the support of the Ukraine 3000 Foundation.
Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko watched the junior and group competition finals. She also talked to the Deriuhina Cup founder and organizer Iryna Deriuhina.
The Deriuhina Naftohaz Cup International Championship on Rhythmic Gymnastics has been held since 1992. Among their winners were Kateryna Serebrianska, Anna Bessonova, Natalia Hodunko, Tamara Yerofeyeva, Olena Vitrichenko, Alina Kabayeva. In 2008 the Deriuhina Cup will be held in the World Cup status for the second time, with over 160 athletes from 44 countries taking part in it.
