
Kateryna Yushchenko Visits the Big Sculpture Show 2008

March 14m 2008, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation Kateryna Yushchenko visited the Big Sculpture Show 2008, held on March 5-15 at the Ukrainian House. The show featured works by baroque epoch maestro Johann George Pinzel and his school, Auguste Rodin, Oleksandr Arkhipenko, and contemporary Ukrainian sculptors.
Accompanied by director of the Lviv Picture Gallery, Hero of Ukraine Borys Voznytsky, Mrs. Yushchenko viewed the classical and contemporary sculptures. She also talked to Ukrainian sculptors, authors of the works on display.
The Big Sculpture Show 2008 was organized by the ART-Ukraine magazine as part of its Art-Kyiv project. The priority tasks for the organizers of the show are proactive participation in the strengthening of the art market in Ukraine, sponsoring effective dialog between artists, gallery owners, and potential customers, as well as introducing the Ukrainians to the works by globally renowned sculptors as well as best works by Ukrainian plastic artists.
