
Kateryna Yushchenko Attends Old and Contemporary Art Shows

March 11, 2008, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation Kateryna Yushchenko attended two events: a one-woman show by renowned Ukrainian artist Vira Barynova-Kuleba and an exhibition of icons from the Bohomolets-Sheremetyev family collection.
The Barynova-Kuleba show is hosted by the Presidium of the Academy of the Arts of Ukraine and will last till March 19. Earlier Mrs. Yushchenko has attended the painter’s studio. Besides, her works were presented at the Mother, Child, Family show organized by the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation at the National Opera of Ukraine March 6-7, 2008.
Mrs. Yushchenko also visited the collection of home icons from the Bohomolets-Sheremetyev family collection. She was introduced to the exhibition at the Kyiv Russian Art Museum by Olha Bohomolets, renowned doctor, singer, and Kyiv City Council deputy. Ms. Bohomolets also told Mrs. Kateryna about the collection including over 5,000 home icons from various Ukraine’s regions. The show will continue till March 14, 2008.
