Addressing the audience, Mr. Maksymchuk conveyed greetings from the Board of Directors and Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 Foundation. “In the 140 years of the Glier School history its professors helped thousands of talents to flower,” he said.
Head of the Board of Directors of the Ukraine 3000 Foundation said that supporting young talents was among the Fund’s priorities. “This is why the Fund has been sponsoring the International Horowitz Memorial Young Pianists Competition founded by the School in 1995,” he said.
Besides, Mr. Maksymchuk said that on the initiative of Head of the Supervisory Board of the Foundation Kateryna Yushchenko the Fund was launching an annual grant program for Glier School students to help them improve their skills. The Kyiv State Glier Music High School was founded January 18, 1868. It was Ukraine’s first school for performing musicians. In 2007 the School was reorganized into the Kyiv Glier Music Institute, offering its students complete higher musical education course.
