
Kateryna Yushchenko Attends Ukrainian Artist Kateryna Hutnikova-Mykhaylova’s One-Woman Show in Shanghai

October 3, 2007, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund Kateryna Yushchenko visited Ukrainian artist Kateryna Hutnikova-Mykhaylova’s one-woman show in Shanghai.
Mrs. Yushchenko took a tour of the exhibition and talked to the artist. Mrs. Hutnikova-Mykhaylova presented to Mrs. Yushchenko her painting Sorceress.
Mrs. Yushchenko also met with Ukrainian Diaspora representatives in Shanghai. “It is very nice to see Ukrainian spirit in the faraway China. Thank you for decently representing Ukraine,” Mrs.Yushchenko said.
Renowned Ukrainian artist Kateryna Hutnikova-Mykhaylova lives and works in China since 2005. Her one-woman show En Equilibrium is staged in a gallery inside of the continental China’s tallest skyscraper, Jin Mao.
Mrs. Yushchenko and Ukraine 3000 Fund representatives are staying in China to support the athletes of the Ukrainian national team at the Special Olympics 2007, to be held October 2-11 in Shanghai. A series of events with the participation of Mrs. Yushchenko is on the agenda of the trip, in part, unveiling the Ukrainian Language Chair at the Shanghai University.
October 2, 2007, Mrs. Yushchenko met with President of the People's Republic of China Hu Jintao, Head of the China Disabled Persons Federation Den Pufan, and took part in the Special Olympics opening ceremony.
October 3, Mrs. Yushchenko and Ukraine 3000 Fund representatives took part in the the Global Policy Summit on the Well-being of People with Intellectual Disabilities.
