Kateryna Yushchenko Takes Part in the Cannes Film Market

May 19, 2007, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko took part in the work of the Film Market at the 60th Cannes International Film Festival.
In course of the meetings with the market’s top management, she discussed with them Ukraine’s representation at the future Cannes festivals and opening a Ukrainian Pavilion at the Cannes Film Market 2008.
Besides, Mrs. Kateryna familiarized herself with pavilions and stands of Belgium, Gernany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, the United States, Bosnia and Herzegovina, etc.
These meetings were part of the long-term program to present the Ukrainian cinema to the world. The first step toward carrying out this program was a presentation of the Molodist Ukrainian International Film Festival, taking part on May 17, on the second day of the Cannes Festival.
Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko along with other members of the Ukraine 3000 Fund is staying in Cannes taking part in the60th Cannes International Film Festival along with events aimed at popularizing the Ukrainian cinema.
