Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 Fund Visits Boarding School for Children with Hereditary Deformities in Finland

October 25, 2006, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund Kateryna Yushchenko met with Dr. Pentti Arajärvi, husband of President of the Republic of Finland Tarja Halonen. In course of the meeting Mrs. Yushchenko and Dr. Arajärvi discussed medicine and education-related issues (the Finnish educational system is believed one of the world’s best).
Mrs. Yushchenko and Dr. Arajärvi also visited the Ruskeasuo Boarding School for Children with Hereditary Deformities, where they talked to the pupils, teachers, and administration and saw a video film presenting its work. The guests visited the classrooms, swimming pool, and living premises. The pupils also gave a small concert for Mrs. Yushchenko and Dr. Arajärvi.
These events were part of the agenda of President of Ukraine Viktor Yushenko and Kateryna Yushchenko’s visit to Finland.
