
Kateryna Yushchenko Participates in the First Session of the Lviv Communal Children’s Clinical Hospital’s Board of Trustees

September 29, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund Kateryna Yushchenko took part in the first session of the Lviv Communal Children’s Clinical Hospital’s Board of Trustees. Ukraine’s Health Minister Yuri Poliachenko also took part in the meeting.
In her address to the members of the Board of Trustees, Mrs. Yushchenko welcomed their effort in creating this body and said that forming the hospital’s Board of Trustees is a graphic example of the business and community’s commitment to solving urgent social problems. “Together we are restoring best traditions of philanthropy which have existed in Halychyna from time immemorial,” she said. Through the Board of Trustees Mrs. Yushchenko presented the hospital an icon.
Head of the Lviv Bank Board of Directors Mykola Vozniuk was elected Head of the Board of Trustees. Secretary of the Bpard was also elected in the person of the Lviv Communal Children’s Clinical Hospital’s Infant Intensive Care Unit’s doctor Zoriana Hatsuliak.
Besides, the first session of the Board of Trustees approved a Statute on its own work and passed over to the hospital new anesthesia apparatuses to the amount of UAH 22,000 ($5,400).
The Lviv Communal Children’s Clinical Hospital participates in the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund’s Hospital to Hospital program. The idea to create a Board of Trustees, suggested by the Fund, gained proactive support from Lviv doctors and community. Among its members are representatives of the local business, authorities, medical circles, and the media. The Board of Trustees will consider the hospital’s urgent problems and render assistance in solving them.
The Ukraine 3000 Fund is planning to initiate creating Boards of Trustees in all hospitals – members of the Hospital to Hospital program.
