Fourth All-Ukrainian Grant Competition for Treatment and Rehabilitation Institutions for Children with Cerebral Palsy
The Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund and TNK-BP Commerce Company announce as part of the Joy of the Childhood: Free Movements program the start of the Fourth All-Ukrainian Grant Competition for Treatment and Rehabilitation Institutions for Children with Cerebral Palsy.
The goal of the grant program is furthering the development of a network of centers and institutions for medical and social rehabilitation of children with special needs in Ukraine, rendering high-quality rehabilitation to children with consequences of an organic lesion of the central nervous system (cerebral palsy), and influencing public opinion on these children’s problems and social integration.
We encourage centers for medical, social, psychological, and pedagogic rehabilitation, educational and rehabilitation centers, boarding schools, health resorts, public organizations, and other institutions providing treatment and rehabilitation for children suffering organic disorders of the central nervous system (cerebral palsy) to take part in the contest.
Please note that the grant competition is aimed primarily at rendering support to children with consequences of organic disorders of the central nervous system (cerebral palsy). Thus, we give preferential treatment to the proposals, most efficiently considering these children’s needs and suggesting realistic ways to help them.
To participate in the contest, submit a project meeting the requirements of the Supplements to the Provisions on the Procedure of Providing Grants (Charitable Support).
Deadline for applications is October 31, 2009.
All applications meeting the requirements will take part in the competition. After the deadline expires, the list of registered participants will be published at the Joy of the Childhood – Free Movements program’s website (www.dcp.org.ua). For assessing the applications, the Foundation will create an Expert Council of experts on rehabilitation facilities, scholars, public figures, etc., to have its first meeting in November. In early December, the awards ceremony will take place.
