
I, Citizen of Ukraine National Youth Competition

Instilling patriotism and pride for their country in children and young people is a complex goal requiring efforts from the whole society and, primarily, from non0governmental institutions. Seeking effective ways to solve this urgent social problem, the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation initiates I, Citizen of Ukraine National Youth Competition.
The competition is held among secondary school students in two age categories:
First age category – students of grades 5-8; Second age category – students of grades 9-11.
To take part in the contest, one has to submit a paper on the theme, I, Citizen of Ukraine, and a filled out application form.
The contest papers have to explore the following issue: “What I can do or already have done for my family, my community, and my country.”
The winners will be announced and awarded in May 2009.
Please send your papers to 01012, Kyiv, P.B. 75, labeled For the Competition. Also send a copy by email to konkurs@ukraine3000.org.ua in *.doc format (exceptions can be made for residents of small towns and villages).
