By this step the Ukraine 3000 Foundation wants, first of all, to urge the Ukrainian society to support its diaspora, whose members serve as bearers and popularizers of the Ukrainian language and culture among the global community. Though the Foundation’s contribution is relatively small, with this step we would like to show how important are the diaspora’s efforts to preserve our language and culture and expand them in the foreign language-speaking environment.

The program’s key objective is present opportunities for self-fulfillment and development of a cultural sector, independent from the state, which is unable to implement its projects without external support. The program’s range is very wide: from popularizing folk traditions to developing the newest and most unique artistic trends.

The results of the contest will be reviewed and announced by the Day of the Memory of Holodomor Victims (last Saturday of November). Best works will be displayed at a show.

The main goal of the Contest is revealing true information on the twentieth century’s tragedy to the people of Ukraine, highlighting the Holodomor in mass media, and involving broad public into commemorating the Holodomor victims in all Ukraine’s regions.

Artists, sculptors, designers, architects, or students of the respective colleges are invited to take part in the contest along with artists’ unions and associations caring about the situation in the contemporary art, afflicted with the need to fulfill themselves in creative work, overflowing with brilliant, original, and unusual ideas, and prepared for fruitful cooperation.
